Skunk Anansie were a force of nature built by Skin (Lead Vocals), Cass (Bass), Ace (Guitar) & Robbie French (Drums) later replaced by Mark Richardson, now drummer for Feeder. The band formed in London in 1994, at the very height of Britpop mania. Skin was everything your traditional pallid frontman wasn't. She was female, bald, black and searingly intelligent. Magazine editors swooned: here, at last, was an articulate and fearless pop star capable of fighting her own corner. Skunk Anansie's break came when Radio 1’s Evening Session discovered them, recorded Little Baby Swastikka exclusively for their show and made the now rare 7” promo available only on mail order via the BBC.

They were invited to join the New Musical Express’ Brat Bus Tour, where they established themselves as one of the hottest bands of 95, later confirmed by being voted Best British Band in the Kerrang! magazine 1995 awards.

March 1995’s controversial Selling Jesus was pure musical armageddon, a temper tantrum of a song that set out their stall emphatically. The single was followed by work on Björk's Army Of Me. During the six years they were signed to One Little Indian, the band pushed themselves as hard as they could touring with bands such as Therapy?, Killing Joke, The Sex Pistols, U2, Lenny Kravitz, Prodigy, Midnight Oil; supported Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Kiss and Paul Weller, and were in turn supported by Rammstein, Stereophonics, Feeder and Muse on their own European tours Paranoid and Sunburnt, produced by Silvia Massey (Tool, Bikini Kill), sold over a million copies world wide, peaked at number 8 in the UK Charts and reached top 10 in most European Charts. This limited edition double pack includes a CD and DVD featuring the four videos to the hit singles taken from the album.
