Johnathan Rice: Kiss Me Goodbye [CD]

Kiss Me Goodbye [CD]

3 track CD single taken from the Johnathan Rice debut album "Trouble Is Real"

Johnathan Rice was only 21 when he secured his record deal with Reprise Records/Warners, after Perry Watts-Russell, Senior VP of A&R and the man who had played a significant role in the US success of Radiohead, Damien Rice, Muse, the Dandy Warhols, the Secret Machines and the Von Bondies, heard his demo.

REM guitarist Peter Buck attended the show at Manchester’s Night & Day club. After catching Johnathan’s support slot, he told the newcomer he had enjoyed it, and took a copy of Johnathan’s debut album for the REM tour bus. This resulted in Johnathan being the first brand new artist to be confirmed to support the US stars. Other acts for these dates include Feeder, Idlewild, and The Zutons.

"Kiss Me Goodbye" was voted 'My Favourite New Choon' on Dermot O'Leary's show on BBC radio 2 on 13/08/05
