LEVY is a four-piece band from New York, together for almost two years. Front-man James Levy – he of the heartfelt lyrics and Morrissey-esque croon - began as a solo artist on the Lower East Village circuit alongside the anti-folk movement likes of Moldy Peaches, but formed LEVY after a meeting with guitarist Matt Siskin convinced him to form a band. LEVY swiftly ascended to the heights of the NY scene, playing gigs with acts such as Moldy Peaches’ Adam Green, Athlete, Razorlight and The Zutons, and as the buzz spread through the city they found themselves lauded in the Manhattan press and beyond.
